How Does a Heart Heal?
Losing someone we love is one of the most difficult things we will ever have to do.
And even though it's something we will all experience, we tend to avoid the topic, which can leave us feeling bewildered and isolated on top of heartbroken and overwhelmed when it happens to us.
It also leaves friends and loved ones at a loss for what to say or how to support us as we are moving through it.
How Does a Heart Heal? is a little friend to help each other through the pain of loss. Like a first aid kit for a heart sized, lifetime wound.
How Does a Heart Heal?

Compassionate Support
Reaching out to those we care about isn't always easy when we are hurting. It isn't easy for those who love us either - but it can lead to meaningful conversations, new bonds, happy memories and much needed laughter.
-
Nature is Healing
Getting outside and breathing in some fresh air as we're able, feeling the wind in our hair, the sun on our face or even a flurry of snowflakes is a wonderful way to reset our nervous systems.

A Light in the Dark
"How Does a Heart Heal?" came out of experiencing my own losses and was made with love. My hope is that it brings a bit of comfort to those who are grieving and perhaps helps them feel a little less alone.

This book offered us a truly transformative experience in our grief journey
My son and I went through the unimaginable - surviving the siege of Mariupol. We both lost deeply cherished people, and the trauma and grief of that time will always be a part of us. We’ve done a lot of therapy these past three years, and we continue the work of unpacking and processing what we’ve lived through. That’s why I got “ How Does a Heart Heal?". This book offered us a truly transformative experience in our grief journey. We cried. We talked. And we felt just a little lighter after. The pain won’t go away, but feeling seen, heard, and gently held makes a world of difference. Thank you, Bridget M, for creating this. Your book is so needed in this world, and I’m thankful it found its way to us. My son and I went through the unimaginable - surviving the siege of Mariupol. We both lost deeply cherished people,... I loved this rhyming book regarding grieving. loving someone is such a blessing in our lives. Losing that loved one is such a tragedy 💔. Moving forward without them can be unimaginable. Following these tips can help the broken-hearted. When I read it to my mom, she said it was very comforting. This would be a great gift for anyone going through the difficult journey of grief. This book is both a tender gift and a source of comfort in life’s most painful moments.
A gentle rhyming book for all ages that offers space to grieve, reflect, and begin healing after the loss of a loved one. My copy came and it’s so tender and wonderful. I immediately ordered a copy to be sent to a friend who just lost his wife. A gentle rhyming book for all ages that offers space to grieve, reflect, and begin healing after the loss of... A book for the heart
If you know Bridget, you know that her art and words have a way of wrapping around your soul like a warm blanket. She’s one of those rare people whose presence makes you feel truly seen, understood, and comforted. And this book? It holds all of that magic-page after page. I read it twice and I keep picking it up.
It is such a great book. Thank you so much for putting this out there. I am sitting here crying thinking about how you 100% nailed it. I wish I had something like this when I lost my husband, parents and brothers. This will help so many people. The thing about grief is that it never goes away, we just learn to manage it better over time. It is such a great book. Thank you so much for putting this out there. I am sitting here crying...
